Tsunami's are waves powered by naturual disasters. Tsunami's are created by earthquakes that occur underneath the ocean. But not only can earthquakes cause a Tsunami. Landslides, Volcanic Eruptions, explosions and meteorites can also cause Tsunamis by their force. Tsunami waves can become extremely tall and can cause horrific damage to country's in their road.
Tsunami Warnings
Tsunami Warnings are carried out for the pure safety of humans living in the country of the suspected impact. The people involved in Tsunami Warnings Australia are based in the Bureu of Meteorology and Geoscience Australia. People at these places sit and watch all the Earthquake happening around the world 24/7. They then have to quickly calculate if the Earthquake will cause a Tsunami ( If Tsunami is carried out under water. Other Natrual Disasters would be measured by Bureu of Meteorology). They then send out the warning 90 minutes before the suspected impact.
Ring of Fire ( Tectonic Plate )
Tectonic plates are rock underneath the earth's crust and there are many of them. These plates are formed to fit into one another perfectly, and are constantly pushing against each other. When one slips ( stops pushing ), the other one pushing against it slips and can either go upwards ( creating a raise in land or if underneath water pushes up and makes a tsunami ), sidewards ( creating an earthquake ). All of these basically is summing up what happens in the Ring of Fire Tectonic Plate. It contains most of the Tsunamis that happen around the world. The countrys in the Ring of Fire Tectonic plate are :
- Phillipines
- Chille
- Middle America
- Japan
- Indonesia
